The Mar Vista Community Council (MVCC) Education, Arts, and Culture Committee (EACC) thrives on creativity and diversity. We are dedicated to improving our entire community's quality of life through enhanced education, culture, and arts in Mar VIsta. We support innovation, inclusion, collaboration, and an environment where all individuals feel welcome, valued, safe, and respected.

Statement in support of equality and human rights for the LGBTQ+ and Transgender Community:
We, the Mar Vista Community Council, believe that respect for the inherent dignity, worth, unique attributes, and human rights of all individuals is a fundamental principle. WE advocate for social justice and human rights. WE stand against all discrimination, including that based on sexual orientation or gender identity and we champion advances made in supporting the equality, human rights, and dignity of all members of our community. WE oppose any action that erodes the integrity and human rights of any person and will fervently strive to protect and preserve the rights of vulnerable groups.
This committee meets monthly, and may hold additional meetings. All attending Stakeholders are voting members of the committee. The public is welcome to make comment during the Public Comment period. Check our Calendar for meeting days/times and the agenda. There will only be a meeting if an agenda has been posted 72 hours beforehand.
Mar Vista Community Council committee meetings have now resumed as in-person gatherings.
All committee meetings are held at their regular day of the month and time unless notified otherwise.
