For the past decade I have fought both for good transportation/planning initiatives, and against bad transportation/planning initiatives. Opportunities for increased and enhanced mobility, environmental improvements and quality of life are things that Angelenos, and particularly Westsiders, just don't have enough. Representation in L.A. is just too often from 'up high' and not based on what is best for those who've put their resources into making this City a wonderful place to live and raise a family. The Expo Line and mass transit are things I've fought for, but we also need roads, sidewalks, parks and other infrastructure we've paid for and deserve. Affordable and good development are obviously in need, but overdevelopment that crushes that rights of the average Westsider is too often the result of our City's efforts. Great schools, parks, and a City that serves its residents and businesses (instead of the other way around) is my perpetual fight. Let's fight for this together.
